Mission Neighborhood Centers serves over 3000 low-income seniors, youth and families with young children at 11 sites throughout San Francisco. With a legacy dating back over 100 years, our guiding principles remain the same: empowerment, cultural affirmation and personal responsibility. We provide a continuum of educational programs and social services to the community populations most in need. MNC is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.
MNC is seeking a qualified individual for a Disability and Mental Health Manager under its Children Services Division. Under the supervision of the Associate Director, the Disability and Mental Health Manager will primarily be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the Service Area of Disabilities and Mental Health in accordance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards. The Manager coordinates and oversees the provision of services for children, and together with Education Managers, service area managers, and Behavior Interventionist staff, ensures appropriate inclusion and mental health activities are being carried out in the Head Start/Early Head Start classrooms.

We are looking for Early Head Start Associate Teachers for our facilities in the Mission and Bayview districts.

Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor / Master Teacher and in accordance with Head Start (HS) Federal Program Performance Standards, California Department of Education (CDE), California Department of Social Services (CDSS), Childcare Licensing Division (CLD), and Mission Neighborhood Center’s (MNC), the Substitute Teacher will primarily assist the teachers in providing quality, comprehensive child development services to preschool children and their families; and encouraging parental involvement in educational planning, goal setting and center activities. Promotes health, safety, nutrition, social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of preschool children enrolled in the program.
